The China Wine Awards (CWA) is the only wine competition in the world judged specifically for the Chinese market. It is focused exclusively on the preference and demand of Chinese consumer. Since its inception, CWA has attracted traditional wine producer countries like France, Chile, Australia, Italy and Spain, in total more than 20 countries to enter the competition. The aim of the China Wine Awards is to discover the wines that are outstanding and will appeal to the palates of Chinese population. More than 700 wines were judged by 40 judges at the CWA on September 1st in Hong Kong, ranging from wine distributors to connoisseurs from around the world.
Tbilvino was one of the first Georgian companies to enter into competition with the traditional wine producer nations at the CWA and attained high scores for the marvelous wines produced from the indigenous Georgian grape varieties. The awards granted at CWA are significant as they will ultimately lead to increased recognition of Tbilvino wines among the wine buyers and wine lovers on the Chinese markets and will as a result help boost sales.
